-- Organic Farming & Permaculture -- Seasonal Festivals -- Spiritual & Devotional Retreats -- Mantra Meditation -- Kirtan Yoga

One of the core purposes of ISKCON in general and Karuna Bhavan in particular is to systematically propagate spiritual knowledge to society at large and to educate people in the process of cultivating a spiritual life achieving real unity and peace in the world. Towards this end, at Karuna Bhavan we provide many learning and educational opportunities for children and adults.

As part of our daily programme we hold lectures based on the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam. We host major educational and cultural festivals, introducing people to a spiritual way of life, people joining in from not only all over Scotland but also from North of England. Our volunteers at Krishna Eco-Farm while practicing and learning organic and permaculture methods are encouraged to practice simple living and high thinking. We have recently started annual retreats that are very relaxing and are found to be transforming. We are looking forward to introducing a weekly public Sunday programme including Kirtan Yoga, mantra meditation, lecture sessions and Krishna’s prasadam (spiritualised food), yoga classes, seminars and authentic Ayurveda treatments from expert practitioners visiting from India, residential Bhakti Yoga and Karma Yoga programmes.

We welcome you through the year for seasonal festivals, day visits, short stays, residential retreats and volunteering programmes over extended periods of time. Come join our growing community and be the change you want to see in the world!
