UN World Food Day celebration at the Eco Farm

On the 16th of October, Krishna Eco Farm (KEF) joined hundreds of other organisations around the world working to alleviate hunger, and to improve food security to mark the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation ‘World Food Day 2020’.

This year’s theme was “Grow, nourish, sustain. Together.’ and we hosted a live online interview about Holistic Health. KEF gardener, Stevie Saranga, talked to KEF resident, compost guru, and forager Javatvasi on the topic of ‘Let Food Be Thy Medicine‘.

The interview covered areas of soil fertility of growing ‘beyond-organic’ vegetables for maximum nutrition, composting for maximum nutrition, and how to cultivate healthy gut bacteria. Resident Javatvasi also talked about how KEF is rising to the challenges and opportunities which the global food security crisis present. He shared his visions on how the wealth of experience in meditation, Ayurveda, and Vedic agriculture of the Hare Krishna Movement (aka ISKCON) can become practical resources to enhance the health of our host nations.

If you have not watched the interview or would like to watch it again, you are welcome to do by accessing the link below. We hope you enjoy it as we did!
